Description
Montepulciano d’Abruzzo d.o.c.
Grapes: Montepulciano
(native vine).
Vinification: selection and harvesting of
the grapes by hand, long maceration of the
skins at a controlled temperature.
Aging: initial aging in stainless steel tanks
with subsequent aging in large barrels,
until a structural complexity is reached
that is necessary to sustain the further
evolution in small barrels. This fi xed
procedure exalts the congenital fruity
peculiarities of the Montepulciano grape
variety.
View: intense red with purple and purple
shades.
Smell: aroma of red fruit, blackberry and
cherry jam, hints of violet. Appreciable
nuances of vanilla, cocoa, hazelnut,
leather, licorice and black pepper.
Taste: full, warm, full-bodied. Sweet and
balanced tannins. With long and
persistent final.
Alcohol content: 14% vol.
Serving temperature: to be served in
balloon glasses at a temperature of about
18/20 °C.
